        3.0  SCHOOL PHYSICAL DEVELOPMENT PLAN

        3.1  CONSTRUCTION STANDARDS 


        The construction of school buildings follows the standards, specifications and guideIines as set by Malaysia's Ministry of Education.

        Standards which have been strictly adhered during the construction of school buildings, which cover the building and human aspects, include:-
         

        • safetv
        • health and cleanliness
        • noise control
        • crowd control
        • landscaping
         

        3.2  EXISTING SCHOOL BUILDINGS


        The existing school buildings are only stifficient to cater for 1998 school session. The existing school buildings are:-

        (a)  3 nos. buildings comprising of classrooms, an office room, a computer room,
              a resource centre, a teacher's room, a laboratory/skill workshop and a toilet.

        (b)  a small mosque(surau).
         

        3.3  LONG TERM SCHOOL EXPANSION PROJECT 


        The school has been planning to build a new 3 storey school building with 15 rooms which will address the long term school need of additional classrooms in order to cater for a total of 420 students in 12 classes until the year 2002. This building can accomodate 10 classrooms, a canteen, toilet, a computer room and a science laboratory/skill workshop.

        The construction of this school building will start as soon as there is sufficient constraction fund and the earliest target date for construction is in 1999 so that the building can be ready for school session in the year 2001.
         

        3.4  SHORT TERM SCHOOL EXPANSION PROJECT 


        Until now, the school is still short of fund to proceed with the construction of the 3
        storey school building. As a short term measure, a 2 storey  school building with 8
        rooms is being built for school session in the year 1999.
